Talisa Almonte painting Flowing Together mural in Union Square

Almonte Studio is the bold, Color-drenched World of Afro-Dominican artist Talisa Almonte, where color, Nature, and imagination become a language for emotional storytelling.

Through murals, illustration, and painted objects, she builds surreal landscapes filled with symbolic florals, layered figures, and dreamlike scenes that explore healing, identity, memory, and transformation. Her work reflects the tension and beauty between inner emotional worlds and the environments we move through every day.

Let’s create something unforgettable.

My specialties

What better way to stand out, brighten a space, and spark joy than with a custom mural? Each piece is designed to reflect your community, your story, and your vibe. Turning blank walls into bold, unforgettable moments.

Collaborating with clients to bring their vision to life is just as important as delivering the final product. I’ve had the joy of creating unique works for brands like Target, Lucasfilm and Wrappr. Each partnership offering a new way to blend creativity, storytelling, and heart. I’m always excited to team up with brands that want to make something bold, meaningful and fun.

From live painting at festivals to gallery exhibitions and community art projects, I love bringing color and creativity wherever it’s needed most. Highlights include painting a playhouse for the Brooklyn Children’s Museum and a custom trash can for Coachella’s music festival. Whether it’s a public project or a creative collaboration, I’m all about adding a splash of personality to unexpected places.

Bloom in progress

Bloom in Progress is an ongoing body of work that transforms my mural and illustration practice into a vibrant exploration of growth, healing, and resilience. Through bold color, surreal botanicals, and hybrid human–floral forms, I reimagine the cycles of becoming, rootedness, struggle, renewal, and bloom.
Rooted in Queens and shaped by my Afro-Dominican heritage, this work celebrates transformation as both a personal and collective act of joy, softness, and strength.
