Advice from artist

Meet the founder,
Talisa Almonte

Talisa is an Afro-Dominican, artist, illustrator and muralist based in Queens, NY. She graduated from FIT with a BFA in Fashion Design and worked in the fashion industry for over 7 years at large brands like Victoria Secret, Pink and Gap. She had always dreamed of having her own business, but never thought it would be one of an artist. In her 3 years running Almonte Studio, she's been lucky enough to work with reputable brands and large names like: Target, Lucasfilm, Disney+, Buzzballz, LA Times, and Coachella as well as local small businesses and city commissioned projects. Her work is predominantly inspired by Latino heritage, life in New York City, and the concept of wanting to make the world quite literally a brighter place. Her art isn't just about colors; it's a beacon of empowerment, aiming to inspire and uplift by celebrating individuality, diversity, and the sheer joy her creations spark.

Who is Almonte Studio?

The studio was founded by the artist, Talisa Almonte and is comprised of just her and her amazing supporter, bf, life partner, best friend and overall hype-man who helps paint some of the murals. He’s the number one unofficial employee. Established in March 2021 as an ode to the founders’ father's legacy. Her LLC stands as a tribute that echoes his early influence on her artistic path and a continuation of his artistic heritage. At Almonte Studio we pride ourselves at being adaptable while staying true to our style. We can perfectly combine client expectations and fulfill our dream of bringing joy to those around us. Be it: custom illustration, digital illustration, murals and more! Our positive, can-do attitude sets us apart and makes us a great business to work with.
